This Memorial was built to honor the military Veterans of Waller County, Texas. The memorial's design was donated by American Legion Life member Michael L. Emerson, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry and is a Desert Storm Veteran. The memorial itself consists of a concrete foundation and marble and black granite monuments honoring U.S. veterans and depicting each branch of the military’s service to the nation including Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. The park is open to the public year-round and serves as a gathering place for veterans, their families, and members of the community to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have served.
